Dijr-Sarai (FDP) demands new heating law.

After weeks of discussions, the Free Democratic Party (FDP) has once again repeated its criticism of the heating law of economy minister Habeck (Greens). The heating law has been criticised by the opposition and the FDP government party for being to strict and not open enough when it comes to new technology. FDP General Secretary Dijr-Sarai said:“The proposal is inefficient when it comes to the climate and puts a burden on the people, economically and financially“. SPD parliamentary group leader Mützenich criticised Dijr-Sarai and the FDP and called their behaviour „annoying“.  The greens want to get the bill passed before the Bundestag enters its summer break. -jc; 22nd May 2023; 17:35 CEST

Economy Minister Habeck (Greens) announces new secretary: Philipp Nimmermann

After the scandal surrounding the secretary in the ministry of economy and climate action Patrick Graichen, Minister Habeck announced who will follow Graichen after his resignation. The new secretary is set to be Philipp Nimmermann, a Green Party politician from Hesse, who was a banker before he started his political career. The old secretary had to resign after being accused of nepotism, because he had strong connections to thinktanks and environmental groups.  -jc; 22nd May 2023; 17:23 CEST
